Bloomfield Township Cdp is a one of the Oakland County, Michigan, located in Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 43021. It is the 35th most populous in the U.S. state of Michigan. The town spans an area of 26.03 sq mi (67.42 square kilometre), of which, 24.94 square miles (64.59 square kilometre) of it is land and 1.09 square miles (2.82 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 24th largest in terms of geographical size.

As of the census of 2000, there were 43021 people in the town, organized into 16803 households, and 12704 families living in the town. The population density was 1725.1 people per square mile (666.06/kmē), making its Michigan's 178th most densely populated town. There were 17454 housing units at an average density of 699.8 per square mile (270.19/kmē). The average household size was 2.53 and the average family size was 2.97. In the town Age distribution was 23.8% under the age of 18, 4.2% from 18 to 24, 21.7% from 25 to 44, 32.5% from 45 to 64, and 17.8% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 94.1 males. The racial makeup of the town was 37730 White, 1849 Black or African American, 35 American Indian, 2783 Asian, 23 Native Hawaiian, 476 from two or more races and 125 Ohter races.
