Bloomfield City is a city located in Davis County, Iowa, in the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. In 2000, the population was 2601. In July 2008, its estimated population was 2582, making it the 122nd most populous in Iowa. The city extends throughout a territory of 2.3 square miles (5.96 square kilometre ), of which, 2.27 square miles (5.88 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.03 square miles (0.08 square kilometre) of it is water, giving it the 163rd largest by total area among Iowa.
