It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 7789, It is 23rd most populous in Nebraska. It covers total area of 4.66 square miles (12.07 sq km), of which, 4.64 square miles (12.02 sq km) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 sq km) of it is water, it is the 19th largest by area in the U.S. state of Nebraska.
