Blaine County is one of the 93 county of Nebraska, located towards the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. It is home to over 583 people (2000 census). The July 2008 population estimate is 428, giving it the second smallest population among Nebraska's county. The county spans an area of 714.34 square miles (1850.13 square kilometre), of which, 710.74 square miles (1840.81 square kilometre) of it is land and 3.59 square miles (9.3 square kilometre) of it is water, making it Nebraska's 38th largest county by total area.
