Blacksburg Town is a town located in the Montgomery County, Virginia, United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 39573 inhabitants. Its population was estimated at 41796 in July 2008, giving it the 23rd largest population among Virginia. It has total area of 19.37 square miles (50.17 square kilometre), of which, 19.36 square miles (50.14 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 23rd largest in terms of geographical size.
