Blackford County is a county in the United States of Indiana. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 14048 inhabitants. In July 2008, its estimated population was 13093, making it the ninth least populous county in Indiana. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 165.4 square miles (428.38 sq km), of which, 165.1 square miles (427.61 sq km) of it is land and 0.31 square miles (0.8 sq km) of it is water, making it the fourth smallest by size in Indiana.
