Black Hawk City is a city located in Gilpin County, Colorado, in the Western Region (Mountain) of United States. In 2000, the population was 118. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 105, It is the 23rd smallest in terms of population. Its area is just over 1.46 square miles (3.78 kmē), it is the 192nd largest by area in the U.S. state of Colorado.
