Bixby City is a city located in Tulsa and Wagoner counties, Oklahoma, in the Southern Region (West South Central) of United States. The city has a population of 13336 as per the 2000 census data. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 20678, It is the 32nd largest by population in the U.S. state of Oklahoma. The city has a total area of 25.09 mi˛ (64.98 sq km), of which, 24.05 square miles (62.29 sq km) of it is land and 1.04 square miles (2.69 sq km) of it is water, making it the 36th largest by size in Oklahoma. It is ranks 18 in the size of its inland waterways in Oklahoma.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 13336 residents, 4903 households, and 3819 families in the city. The population density was 554.5 people per square mile (214.09/km˛), it is 366th most densely populated city in Oklahoma. There were 5287 housing units at an average density of 219.8 per square mile (84.87/km˛). The average household size was 2.7 persons, and the average family size was 3.09 persons. In the city the population was spread out, with 28.8% under the age of 18, 7.9% from 18 to 24, 31.7% from 25 to 44, 21.8% from 45 to 64, and 9.8% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 101.7 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 105 females. The median age was 33.7 years, the median age of male residents at 32.7 and the median age of female residents at 34.7. The racial or ethnic makeup of the city was 86.91% White, 0.94% Black or African American, 5.74% American Indian, 0.49% Asian, 0.01% Native Hawaiian, 3.96% from two or more races and 1.96% Other races.
