Bingham County is one of the 44 county of Idaho, located towards the Western Region (Mountain) of United States. The population of the county was 41735 as per the 2000 census data. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 43903, It is the seventh largest county by population in the U.S. state of Idaho. The county encompasses an area of 2120.24 miē (5491.4 kmē ), of which, 2094.73 square miles (5425.33 kmē) of it is land and 25.51 square miles (66.07 kmē) of it is water, it is the 12th largest by area in the U.S. state of Idaho.

As of the census of 2000, there were 41735 people in the county, organized into 13317 households, and 10713 families residing in the county. The population density was 19.9 people per square mile (7.68/kmē), making it the 15th most densely populated county in Idaho. There were 14303 housing units at an average density of 6.8 per square mile (2.63/kmē). The average household size was 3.1 and the average family size was 3.52. Age range in the county was well distributed with 34.9% under the age of 18, 9.7% from 18 to 24, 25.3% from 25 to 44, 19.7% from 45 to 64, and 10.3% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 100 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 97.9 males. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 43903, The racial makeup of the county was 39690 White, 265 Black or African American, 2988 American Indian, 296 Asian, 20 Native Hawaiian, and 644 from two or more races.
