Biloxi City is a city located in the Harrison County, Mississippi, United States. Biloxi City had an official population of 50644 in 2000. The city's estimated population as of July 2008 was 45670, It is the third most populous in the U.S. state of Mississippi. The city comprises an area of 46.53 sq mi (120.51 square kilometre), of which, 38.03 square miles (98.5 square kilometre) of it is land and 8.5 square miles (22.01 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the fifth largest by area in the U.S. state of Mississippi. It is ranks second in the size of its inland waterways in Mississippi.

As of the census of 2000, there were 50644 people in the city, organized into 19588 households, and 12386 families residing in the city. The population density was 1331.8 people per square mile (514.21/kmē), making it the 49th most densely populated city in Mississippi. There were 22115 housing units at an average density of 581.5 per square mile (224.52/kmē). The average household size was 2.42 persons, and the average family size was 3.02 persons.
