Big Stone City City is a one of the Grant County, South Dakota, located in Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 605 inhabitants. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 542, It is the 122nd largest by population in the U.S. state of South Dakota. It covers total area of 1.23 square miles (3.19 sq km), making it South Dakota's 102nd largest by total area.
