It is 74th most populous in Alaska. The census designated place spans an area of 61.13 square miles (158.33 square kilometre), of which, 55.2 square miles (142.97 square kilometre) of it is land and 5.93 square miles (15.36 square kilometre) of it is water, makes it the 104th largest by total area in Alaska.
