Bethany City is a city located in Oklahoma County, Oklahoma, in the Southern Region (West South Central) of United States. The population of the city was 20307 as per the 2000 census data. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the city is 19729, It is the 20th largest in terms of population. Its area is just over 5.21 sq mi (13.49 sq km), making it Oklahoma's 186th largest by total area.

As of the census of 2000, there were 20307 people, 8161 households, and 5277 families living in the city. The population density was 3896.7 people per square mile (1504.52/kmē), giving it the second most densely populated city among the Oklahoma.
