Bethany Beach Town is a United States town located in the Sussex County, Delaware, United States. As of 2000 the population was 903. Its population was estimated at 964 in July 2008, It is the 47th most populous in the U.S. state of Delaware. The town comprises an area of 1.17 square miles (3.03 kmē), of which, 1.15 square miles (2.98 kmē) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 kmē) of it is water, it is the 37th largest by area in the U.S. state of Delaware.

As of the census of 2000, there were 903 residents, 473 households, and 282 families in the town. The population density was 782.4 people per square mile (302.09/kmē), giving it the 14th least densely populated town among the Delaware. There were 2376 housing units at an average density of 2066.1 per square mile (797.73/kmē). The average household size was 1.91 persons, and the average family size was 2.4 persons.
