Benton County is a county located in the United States of Washington. The population of county in 2000 stood at 142475 as per the Census data. Its population was estimated at 163058 in July 2008, It is the tenth largest in terms of population. It has total area of 1760.12 miē (4558.69 kmē), of which, 1703.09 square miles (4410.98 kmē) of it is land and 57.03 square miles (147.71 kmē) of it is water, it is the 23rd largest by area in the U.S. state of Washington.

The county's estimated population as of July 2008 was 163058, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 93.17% White, 1.43% Black or African American, 1% American Indian, 2.38% Asian, 0.14% Native Hawaiian, and 1.87% from two or more races.
