Benton County is a county located in the United States of Missouri. The county has a population of 17180 as per the 2000 census data. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 18349, It is Missouri's 60th most populous county. It has total area of 752.48 mi˛ (1948.91 sq km), of which, 705.51 square miles (1827.26 sq km) of it is land and 46.97 square miles (121.65 sq km) of it is water, it is the 23rd largest in terms of geographical size. It is ranks third in the size of its inland waterways in Missouri.

It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 18349, The racial makeup of the county was 97.36% White, 0.57% Black or African American, 0.54% American Indian, 0.13% Asian, 0.01% Native Hawaiian, and 1.39% from two or more races.
