Benton County, Minnesota is a county located in the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 34226. In July 2008, its estimated population was 39878, It is the 24th largest in terms of population. The county comprises an area of 413 sq mi (1069.67 kmē), of which, 408.28 square miles (1057.44 kmē) of it is land and 4.72 square miles (12.22 kmē) of it is water, giving it the fourth smallest by total area among Minnesota's county.

Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 39878, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 94.93% White, 1.77% Black or African American, 0.61% American Indian, 1.47% Asian, 0.04% Native Hawaiian, and 1.18% from two or more races.
