Benton County is a county located in the United States of Arkansas. The county has a population of 153406 as per the 2000 census data. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 209791, It is second most populous county in Arkansas. It is spread over 880.24 sq mi (2279.81 square kilometre), of which, 845.99 square miles (2191.1 square kilometre ) of it is land and 34.25 square miles (88.71 square kilometre) of it is water, makes it the 11th largest by total area in Arkansas. It is ranks tenth in the size of its inland waterways in Arkansas.

The population density was 181.3 people per square mile (70/kmē), it is the third most densely populated county in the U.S. state of Arkansas. In the county the population was spread out, with 26.6% under the age of 18, 8.6% from 18 to 24, 29.4% from 25 to 44, 21.1% from 45 to 64, and 14.3% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 97.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 94.9 males. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 209791, The racial makeup of the county was 91.99% White, 2.08% Black or African American, 1.9% American Indian, 2.09% Asian, 0.15% Native Hawaiian, and 1.8% from two or more races.
