Bellingham City is a United States city located in the Whatcom County, Washington, United States. It is home to over 67171 people (2000 census). In July 2008, its estimated population was 78905, making it the tenth most populous in Washington. The city spans an area of 31.74 miē (82.21 kmē), of which, 25.64 square miles (66.41 kmē) of it is land and 6.09 square miles (15.77 kmē) of it is water, making it Washington's 14th largest by total area. It is ranks 11 in the size of its inland waterways in Washington.
