Bellevue City is a United States city located in the Sarpy County, Nebraska, United States. As of 2000 the population was 44382. The city's estimated population as of July 2008 was 49699, giving it the third largest population among Nebraska. It is spread over 13.4 mi˛ (34.71 square kilometre), of which, 13.26 square miles (34.34 square kilometre ) of it is land and 0.13 square miles (0.34 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the fourth largest in terms of geographical size. It is ranks tenth in the size of its inland waterways in Nebraska.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 44382 residents, 16937 households, and 11948 families in the city. The population density was 3346.4 people per square mile (1292.05/km˛), it is the tenth most densely populated city in the U.S. state of Nebraska.
