Belfield City is a United States city located in the Stark County, North Dakota, United States. As of 2000 the population was 866. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 811, It is North Dakota's 66th largest by population . The city spans an area of 1.09 mi˛ (2.82 sq km), of which, 1.08 square miles (2.8 sq km) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 sq km) of it is water, makes it the 88th largest by total area in North Dakota.
