Belding City is a city in the Ionia County, Michigan, United States. The city has a population of 5877 as per the 2000 census data. In July 2008, its estimated population was 5691, It is the 169th largest by population in the U.S. state of Michigan. It is spread over 4.87 square miles (12.61 sq km), of which, 4.72 square miles (12.22 sq km ) of it is land and 0.16 square miles (0.41 sq km) of it is water, it is the 150th largest by area in the U.S. state of Michigan.
