Bee County is a United States county located in the United States of Texas. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Bee County is home to 32359 inhabitants. In July 2008, its estimated population was 32661, making it the 88th most populous county in Texas. It is spread over 880.31 mi˛ (2279.99 square kilometre), of which, 880.14 square miles (2279.55 square kilometre ) of it is land and 0.17 square miles (0.44 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 71st smallest by area in the U.S. state of Texas.

As of the census of 2000, there were 32359 residents, 9061 households, and 6580 families in the county. The population density was 36.8 people per square mile (14.21/km˛), it is Texas's 88th most densely populated county. There were 10939 housing units at an average density of 12.4 per square mile (4.79/km˛). It has an average household size was 2.74 persons, and the average family size was 3.25 persons. In the county the population is diverse age-wise, with 23.4% under the age of 18, 13.3% from 18 to 24, 35.4% from 25 to 44, 17.8% from 45 to 64, and 10.2% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 148.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 164.9 males. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 32661, The racial makeup of the county was 28427 White, 3581 Black or African American, 194 American Indian, 251 Asian, 13 Native Hawaiian, and 195 from two or more races.
