Bedford City is a United States city located in the Taylor County, Iowa, United States. Bedford City had an official population of 1620 in 2000. Its population was estimated at 1460 in July 2008, making it the 185th most populous in Iowa. It covers total area of 1.61 miē (4.17 kmē), it is the 229th largest by area in the U.S. state of Iowa.
