Beaver County is a county in the United States of Pennsylvania. The population of the county was 181412 as per the 2000 census data. The county's estimated population as of July 2008 was 172476, making it the 20th most populous county in Pennsylvania. The county extends throughout a territory of 443.9 sq mi (1149.7 kmē ), of which, 434.21 square miles (1124.6 kmē) of it is land and 9.69 square miles (25.1 kmē) of it is water, it is the 17th smallest by area in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania.

As of the census of 2000, there were 181412 people, 72576 households, and 50521 families residing in the county. The population density was 417.8 people per square mile (161.31/kmē), it is the 14th most densely populated county in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. There were 77765 housing units at an average density of 179.1 per square mile (69.15/kmē). It has an average household size was 2.44 persons, and the average family size was 2.96 persons. Age range in the county was well distributed with 22.6% under the age of 18, 7.4% from 18 to 24, 27.3% from 25 to 44, 24.2% from 45 to 64, and 18.4% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 91.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 88.2 males. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 172476, The racial makeup of the county was 92.01% White, 6.28% Black or African American, 0.14% American Indian, 0.37% Asian, 0.02% Native Hawaiian, and 1.18% from two or more races.
