Beaver County is a county located in Oklahoma, in the Southern Region (West South Central) of United States. In 2000, the population was 5857. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 5248, giving it the eighth smallest population among Oklahoma's county. It has total area of 1817.58 square miles (4707.51 kmē), of which, 1814.36 square miles (4699.17 kmē) of it is land and 3.22 square miles (8.34 kmē) of it is water, it is the fifth largest in terms of geographical size.

The population density was 3.2 people per square mile (1.24/kmē), making it the third least densely populated county in Oklahoma. There were 2719 housing units at an average density of 1.5 per square mile (0.58/kmē). The average household size was 2.57 and the average family size was 2.99. Age range in the county was well distributed with 26.8% under the age of 18, 6.5% from 18 to 24, 25.8% from 25 to 44, 24.1% from 45 to 64, and 16.9% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 102.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 100.9 males. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the county is 5248, The racial makeup of the county was 5036 White, 33 Black or African American, 85 American Indian, 7 Asian, 2 Native Hawaiian, and 85 from two or more races.
