Beadle County is a county located in South Dakota, in the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Beadle County is home to 17023 inhabitants. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 15878, giving it the 12th largest population among South Dakota's county. Its area is just over 1264.82 sq mi (3275.87 square kilometre), of which, 1258.7 square miles (3260.02 square kilometre) of it is land and 6.13 square miles (15.88 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 22nd largest in terms of geographical size.

In the county Age distribution was 24.7% under the age of 18, 8.3% from 18 to 24, 24.7% from 25 to 44, 23% from 45 to 64, and 19.4% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 103.6 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 106.7 females. The county's estimated population as of July 2008 was 15878, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 95.46% White, 1.01% Black or African American, 1.38% American Indian, 0.98% Asian, 0.02% Native Hawaiian, and 1.15% from two or more races.
