Beacon City is a city in the Dutchess County, New York, United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 13808 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the city is 14566, It is the 138th largest in terms of population. It has total area of 4.89 square miles (12.67 kmē), of which, 4.78 square miles (12.38 kmē) of it is land and 0.11 square miles (0.28 kmē) of it is water, makes it the 207th largest by total area in New York.
