Bayonne City is a one of the Hudson County, New Jersey, located in Northeastern Region (Mid-Atlantic) of United States. The city has a population of 61842 as per the 2000 census data. Its population was estimated at 57448 in July 2008, making it New Jersey's 13th largest. The city encompasses an area of 11.25 square miles (29.14 sq km ), of which, 5.63 square miles (14.58 sq km) of it is land and 5.63 square miles (14.58 sq km) of it is water, it is the 29th largest by area in the U.S. state of New Jersey. It is ranks fifth in the size of its inland waterways in New Jersey.

The median age is 38.1 years, the median age of male residents at 36.4 and the median age of female residents at 39.8. The racial makeup of the city was 48631 White, 3416 Black or African American, 106 American Indian, 2562 Asian, 30 Native Hawaiian, 2486 from two or more races and 4611 Ohter races.
