Baylor County, Texas is a county of the United States of Texas. The population of county in 2000 stood at 4093 as per the Census data. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 3737, making it Texas's 41st smallest county. It covers total area of 901.01 square miles (2333.61 square kilometre), of which, 870.77 square miles (2255.28 square kilometre) of it is land and 30.24 square miles (78.32 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 164th largest by area in the U.S. state of Texas.

The population density was 4.7 people per square mile (1.81/kmē), it is 51st least densely populated county in Texas.
