It covers total area of 901.01 square miles (2333.61 square kilometre), of which, 870.77 square miles (2255.28 square kilometre) of it is land and 30.24 square miles (78.32 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 164th largest by area in the U.S. state of Texas.
