Bay County is a county located in the United States of Michigan. It is home to over 110157 people (2000 census). As of July 2008, the estimated population of the county is 107495, making it the 19th most populous county in Michigan. It covers total area of 630.91 square miles (1634.05 square kilometre), of which, 444.25 square miles (1150.6 square kilometre) of it is land and 186.66 square miles (483.45 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 51st largest by area in the U.S. state of Michigan.

Its population was estimated at 107495 in July 2008, The racial makeup of the county was 95.79% White, 1.57% Black or African American, 0.62% American Indian, 0.55% Asian, 0.01% Native Hawaiian, and 1.46% from two or more races.
