Barrington Hills Village is a city located in the Cook, Kane, Lake and McHenry counties, Illinois, United States. It is home to over 3915 people (2000 census). It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 4354, It is the 364th most populous in the U.S. state of Illinois. It is spread over 28.4 square miles (73.56 kmē), of which, 27.88 square miles (72.21 kmē ) of it is land and 0.52 square miles (1.35 kmē) of it is water, makes it the tenth largest by total area in Illinois.

As of the census of 2000, there were 3915 people in the city, organized into 1381 households, and 1168 families living in the city. The population density was 140.4 people per square mile (54.21/kmē), it would be the 43rd least densely populated city in the U.S. state of Illinois.
