Barrington Cdp is a census designated place located in Bristol County, Rhode Island, in the Northeastern Region (New England) of United States. Barrington Cdp had an official population of 16819 in 2000. making it the 13th most populous in Rhode Island. The census designated place comprises an area of 15.42 sq mi (39.94 sq km), of which, 8.42 square miles (21.81 sq km) of it is land and 7.01 square miles (18.16 sq km) of it is water, it is the seventh largest by area in the U.S. state of Rhode Island. It is ranks third in the size of its inland waterways in Rhode Island.
