Barre City is a one of the Washington County, Vermont, located in Northeastern Region (New England) of United States. As per the 2000 census, city has a population of 9291 inhabitants. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 8837, It is the fourth largest in terms of population. It covers total area of 4.02 square miles (10.41 square kilometre), making it Vermont's 16th largest by total area.
