Barnesville City, Clay County, Minnesota is a city located in the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. Barnesville City had an official population of 2173 in 2000. The city comprises an area of 2.12 mi˛ (5.49 sq km), of which, 2.1 square miles (5.44 sq km) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 sq km) of it is water, it is the 299th largest by area in the U.S. state of Minnesota.
