Barnesville City is a one of the Lamar County, Georgia, located in Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. As per the 2000 census, city has a population of 5972 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 5998, It is the 122nd largest in terms of population. The city spans an area of 5.67 square miles (14.69 kmē), of which, 5.66 square miles (14.66 kmē) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 kmē) of it is water, it is the 149th largest in terms of geographical size.
