Barnegat Light Borough is a United States borough located in the Ocean County, New Jersey, United States. In 2000, the population was 764. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the borough is 838, making it New Jersey's 22nd smallest. The borough encompasses an area of 0.86 square miles (2.23 square kilometre ), of which, 0.72 square miles (1.86 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.14 square miles (0.36 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 56th smallest in terms of geographical size.

As of the census of 2000, there were 764 people, 457 households, and 284 families living in the borough. The population density was 1056.8 people per square mile (408.03/kmē), it would be the 80th least densely populated borough in the U.S. state of New Jersey.
