Barber County is a county located in Kansas, in the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Barber County is home to 5307 inhabitants. The July 2008 population estimate is 4674, making it Kansas's 70th largest county. The county has a total area of 1136.21 mi˛ (2942.77 square kilometre), of which, 1134.11 square miles (2937.33 square kilometre) of it is land and 2.1 square miles (5.44 square kilometre) of it is water, makes it the sixth largest by total area in Kansas.
