Bantam Borough is one of the borough of Litchfield County, Connecticut, located towards the Northeastern Region (New England) of United States. Bantam Borough had an official population of 802 in 2000. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 795, giving it the third smallest population among Connecticut. The borough spans an area of 1.01 sq mi (2.62 square kilometre), giving it the ninth smallest by total area among Connecticut.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 802 people, 364 households, and 202 families residing in the borough. The population density was 793.4 people per square mile (306.33/kmē), it is the 29th least populated borough in terms of population density. The racial makeup of the borough was 96.01% White, 0.37% Black or African American, 0.5% American Indian, 0.75% Asian, 0% Native Hawaiian, 1.5% from two or more races and 0.87% Other races.
