Bandon City is a city in the Coos County, Oregon, United States. The city has a population of 2833 as per the 2000 census data. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 3248, making it Oregon's 118th largest. Its area is just over 3.1 square miles (8.03 square kilometre), of which, 2.75 square miles (7.12 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.34 square miles (0.88 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 88th largest by area in the U.S. state of Oregon.

As of the census of 2000, there were 2833 residents, 16 households, and 12 families in the city. The population density was 1029.4 people per square mile (397.45/kmē), it is 189th most densely populated city in Oregon. There were 1535 housing units at an average density of 558.2 per square mile (215.52/kmē). The average household size was 2.09 persons, and the average family size was 2.71 persons. In the city the population was distributed as follows: 19.1% under the age of 18, 4.7% from 18 to 24, 19.4% from 25 to 44, 27.5% from 45 to 64, and 29.4% who were 65 or older.
