Baltimore County is a county located in the United States of Maryland. The population of county in 2000 stood at 754292 as per the Census data. The county's estimated population as of July 2008 was 785618, It is the third largest in terms of population. The county extends throughout a territory of 682.03 sq mi (1766.45 sq km ), of which, 598.59 square miles (1550.34 sq km) of it is land and 83.44 square miles (216.11 sq km) of it is water, making it Maryland's fourth largest county by total area.

In July 2008, its estimated population was 785618, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 68.84% White, 25.09% Black or African American, 0.33% American Indian, 4.23% Asian, 0.05% Native Hawaiian, and 1.46% from two or more races.
