Baker County is a county in the United States of Georgia. The population of county in 2000 stood at 4074 as per the Census data. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 3805, making it Georgia's sixth smallest county. It has total area of 349.17 mi˛ (904.35 square kilometre), of which, 343.22 square miles (888.94 square kilometre) of it is land and 5.95 square miles (15.41 square kilometre) of it is water, making it the 79th largest by size in Georgia.

As of the census of 2000, there were 4074 people, 1514 households, and 1094 families living in the county. The population density was 11.9 people per square mile (4.59/km˛), it is sixth least densely populated county in Georgia. There were 1740 housing units at an average density of 5.1 per square mile (1.97/km˛). It has an average household size was 2.68 persons, and the average family size was 3.2 persons. In the county Age distribution was 27.3% under the age of 18, 10% from 18 to 24, 26.9% from 25 to 44, 22.1% from 45 to 64, and 13.7% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 86.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 86.3 males. In July 2008, its estimated population was 3805, The racial makeup of the county was 1890 White, 1884 Black or African American, 12 American Indian, 2 Asian, 1 Native Hawaiian, and 16 from two or more races.
