Bailey County is a United States county located in the United States of Texas. As of 2000 the population was 6594. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the county is 6279, It is the 65th smallest in terms of population. The county encompasses an area of 827.38 sq mi (2142.9 kmē ), of which, 826.69 square miles (2141.12 kmē) of it is land and 0.68 square miles (1.76 kmē) of it is water, it is the 57th smallest in terms of geographical size.
