Bacon County is a county in the United States of Georgia. In 2000, the population was 10103. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 10442, making it Georgia's 36th smallest county. The county has a total area of 285.92 square miles (740.53 sq km), of which, 284.95 square miles (738.02 sq km) of it is land and 0.97 square miles (2.51 sq km) of it is water, it is the 104th largest by area in the U.S. state of Georgia.

According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the county is 10442, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 8416 White, 1828 Black or African American, 20 American Indian, 72 Asian, 0 Native Hawaiian, and 106 from two or more races.
