Avonmore Borough is a borough located in the Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 820 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 760, It is the 446th smallest in terms of population. It has total area of 1.61 sq mi (4.17 square kilometre), of which, 1.5 square miles (3.88 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.11 square miles (0.28 square kilometre) of it is water, giving it the 485th largest by total area among Pennsylvania.

The population density was 547.9 people per square mile (211.55/kmē), making its Pennsylvania's 240th least densely populated borough. In the borough the population was spread out, with 21.6% under the age of 18, 5.1% from 18 to 24, 25.2% from 25 to 44, 24.6% from 45 to 64, and 23.4% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 83 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 78.6 males. The median age is 42.7 years, the median age of male residents at 39.7 and the median age of female residents at 46.3. The racial makeup of the borough was 98.17% White, 1.22% Black or African American, 0% American Indian, 0.37% Asian, 0% Native Hawaiian, 0.12% from two or more races and 0.12% Other races.
