Avondale Estates City is a city in the DeKalb County, Georgia, United States. In 2000, the population was 2609. In July 2008, its estimated population was 2830, It is 213th most populous in Georgia. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.13 miē (2.93 kmē), of which, 1.12 square miles (2.9 kmē) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 kmē) of it is water, making it Georgia's 128th smallest by total area.
