Avondale City is a city in the Maricopa County, Arizona, United States. It is home to over 35883 people (2000 census). As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 81299, It is Arizona's 17th largest by population . It is spread over 41.32 sq mi (107.02 sq km), of which, 41.26 square miles (106.86 sq km ) of it is land and 0.06 square miles (0.16 sq km) of it is water, making it Arizona's 36th largest by total area.
