As of July 2008, the estimated population was 475, giving it the 125th smallest population among Alabama. It has total area of 2.65 sq mi (6.86 kmē), of which, 2.63 square miles (6.81 kmē) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 kmē) of it is water, it is the 142nd smallest by area in the U.S. state of Alabama.
