Aurora City is a one of the Arapahoe, Adams and Douglas counties, Colorado, located in Western Region (Mountain) of United States. It is home to over 276393 people (2000 census). As of July 2008, the estimated population of the city is 319057, making it Colorado's third largest. Its area is just over 142.74 sq mi (369.69 square kilometre), of which, 142.5 square miles (369.07 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.24 square miles (0.62 square kilometre) of it is water, making it the third largest by size in Colorado. It is ranks 19 in the size of its inland waterways in Colorado.

The population density was 1939.6 people per square mile (748.88/kmē), giving it the 80th most densely populated city among the Colorado.
