Auburn City is a city in the King and Pierce counties, Washington, United States. Auburn City had an official population of 40314 in 2000. In July 2008, its estimated population was 55426, It is the 18th largest by population in the U.S. state of Washington. The city has a total area of 21.27 square miles (55.09 square kilometre), of which, 21.26 square miles (55.06 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 26th largest by area in the U.S. state of Washington.
